The Full Lineup of MDC USA Off-Road Trailers

Not every trailer is cut out for the wild. Some are built for pavement. Others are made to sit pretty at a campground. But these? These are different.

From tough Aussie-built hybrids like the Robson XTT MKII to minimalist trail pods like the Forte 9, this lineup is made for real-world roaming. Whether you’re hauling kids into the mountains or flying solo for a quick desert escape, there’s a trailer here that can handle the terrain and make you feel right at home when you get there.

Each rig offers a unique layout, real off-road capability, and the kind of features that make off-grid life not just possible but comfortable. Let’s take a closer look.

Robson XTT MKII

The Robson XTT MKII is a dual-fold pop-up that sleeps six with queen beds at each end and a convertible club lounge amidships with tons of space in a compact, towable package. It rides on X-TRACK independent suspension and includes an external slide-out stainless kitchen, hot/cold plumbed water, and an external shower tent for real campsite utility. Curb weight is about 3,940 lb with a GVWR 5,290 lb and ~330 lb tongue weight, so it’s friendly for many mid-size tow vehicles.

Off-grid power is legit: 300Ah lithium, ~200W solar, and a 3,000W inverter keep fridges, lights, and devices happy far from hookups. That’s uncommon capability for a soft-sider in this class.

Forte 9+

A compact hard-sider built for smaller tow rigs, the Forte 9+ comes in at ~3,090 lb dry with GVWR 4,409 lb and ~317 lb tongue weight. Despite the light weight, it packs a comfy bed, on-board furnace, hot water, seating/table, and smart storage which is ideal for quick strikes or tight trailheads.

Power systems are dialed in with 200Ah LiFePRO+ lithium paired with BMPRO electronics and multiple 12V ports/LEDs means simple, reliable off-grid camping without the bulk.

XT12HR Off-Grid Extreme

A couple-focused off-road trailer with a roomy interior and wet bath, the XT12HR OGE has everything you need and nothing you don’t. Upgrades include improved cold-weather performance (ducted Truma heat, plumbing above-floor) and off-grid tech. Curb weight is ~4,340 lb with GVWR 6,147 lb and ~375 lb tongue weight making it towable by a wide range of vehicles.

Its electrical system brings a powerful 400Ah Renogy lithium with 350W roof solar and Renogy BMS you can monitor from your phone; add the galvanized chassis and DO35 articulating hitch for a go-anywhere, stay-longer with the MDC 12 Off-Grid Extreme.

XT15-4E Off-Grid Extreme

The XT15-4E is a family-ready, sleeps 4 hybrid with a electric pop-top roof, wet bath, beautiful and spacious interior and the signature slide-out stainless steel outdoor kitchen. It measures ~22′ closed and posts ~5,450 lb dry, GVWR 6,147 lb, and ~525 lb tongue, balancing stability and trail capability.

Power is a highlight: 400Ah lithium, a 3,000W inverter, and ~745W rooftop solar provide enough juice for serious off-grid living, including A/C use with smart management in the right conditions.

XT16HR East West Off-Grid Extreme

With its east-west queen bed, this beast of a 16-foot camper squeezes in a full dry bath, highly functional interior kitchen, and the outdoor slide-out kitchen under an electric awning. This trailer has great flow in a compact footprint. Weights land around ~5,550 lb dry, GVWR 6,147 lb, and ~615 lb tongue; fresh is 2×21 gal with 21 gal grey.

The Off-Grid Extreme model is robust with power, with 800Ah Renogy lithium bank, 700W solar, and a 3,000W inverter, this off-road trailer is built for couples on the road that also want to taste adventure in America’s outback.

XT16HR Island Off-Grid Extreme

Similar to the MDC 16 East West, if you prefer a longitudinal “island” bed instead the XT16HR Island has a walk-around queen bed with excellent storage, dry bath, and both indoor and outdoor kitchens beneath a 14.3′ electric awning. It’s just over 22′ long with under 5,500 lb dry making it towable by many trucks, and ready to take on the backroads.

Also like its “East-West” sibling, the OGE spec delivers an 800Ah lithium bank, 700W solar (with ports for extra portable panels), and a 3,000W pure-sine inverter which means serious independence wrapped in a compact, strongly built shell.

XT17HRT Family Off-Grid Extreme

Built for five, the XT17HRT Family fits a front queen, dual bunks, a convertible dinette, and a bathroom, which can be rare in a 17-foot camper. It rides with ~6,085 lb dry, GVWR 7,714 lb, and ~595 lb tongue weight, giving you extra payload for family gear and water.

OGE power is overbuilt for the family mission: 800Ah lithium, 875W solar, and a 3,000W inverter (vs. standard model’s ~200Ah/700W/2000W) so lights, A/C, microwave, and charging are covered on extended trips.

XT19HRT Off-Grid Extreme

The flagship unit from MDC, the XT19HRT OGE brings a front queen, L-sofa lounge, and a full rear bath in a 25’4″ shell! Plus indoor and outdoor kitchens and a full annex under a 14.3′ electric awning. It weighs ~6,610 lb dry, GVWR ~7,714 lb, with ~595 lb hitch substantial, but purpose-built for long, comfortable stints off-grid.

Paired with the Renogy OGE electrical systems, the 19 carries the same “big-battery/solar/inverter” DNA including 800ah lithium, 1225w solar, and a 3kW inverter plenty for its larger interior and amenities, making it a travel-anywhere, live-well platform.
