The Moab Project
Meet Moab Trailblazer
The MOAB Trailblazer is a true extreme off-road, off-grid motorhome that pairs MOAB’s huck-fastened, self-supporting habitat with a Ford F-550 4×4 chassis. Powered by the 6.7L V8 diesel and 10-speed transmission (19,500-lb GVWR), it adds FOX racing shocks/springs with a 3″ lift, 35″ tires on 20″ black-out rims, heavy-duty front and steel rear bumpers, a 15,000-lb front winch, nerf bars, dual fuel tanks, a 350-amp alternator, and full camera coverage to a 7″ display. Expedition autonomy comes from MOAB’s 48-volt electrical system—dual 3,000W inverters (6,000W total), ~17 kWh Lithionics battery storage, 1.5 kW solar, Victron touchscreen with Bluetooth/Wi-Fi—delivering up to ~21 hours of A/C or ~10 hours of full-system runtime with rapid recharge. A 75-gal heated fresh tank, 30-gal heated gray, and 40-gal heated black tank, plus exterior hot/cold shower, round out a package built to roam far and stay longer.
The Moab Project

Exterior

MOAB’s habitat is a welded, huck-fastened box frame with extra-thick fiberglass walls that’s fully self-supporting, no wood to swell and no monocoque required and it can be unbolted from the chassis for major service. Daily usability is dialed in with an articulating entry step, grab rail at the door, a full basement with lockable compartment doors, fully painted body to match the truck, exterior access to all tanks and components, and an exterior 50-amp shore connection with a 20-amp compartment outlet. Visibility and safety are enhanced by a 52″ LED light bar, OEM driving lights, fog lights, upper/lower LED tails and markers, LED reverse and plate lights, and three 12″ perimeter/security LEDs; cameras provide backup and left/right turn views to the in-cab screen. Practical trail gear includes the 15,000-lb front winch with controller, 2″ rear receiver, 7-pin trailer connection, nerf bars, and a factory in-dash stereo system, plus a handy pass-through between the cab and habitat.
The Moab Project

Interior

Inside, the Trailblazer blends residential comfort with expedition utility. The six-person dinette converts to a king bed, complemented by a dedicated cab-over bunk with an escape hatch and a privacy curtain. High ceilings with a soft-touch headliner, commercial-grade flooring, solid-surface countertops, soft-close laminate cabinetry, and push-button latches keep things quiet, durable, and organized. The galley is fully equipped with a residential stainless sink, refrigerator/freezer, convection microwave/oven, removable double-burner induction cooktop (use indoors or plug in outside), exhaust hood, under-counter trash stowage, ample overhead/base cabinets, counter outlets, and a wall-mounted Smart TV. A true dry bath adds a walk-in shower with skylight and adjustable wand, residential toilet, sink with premium fixtures, a floor-to-ceiling linen cabinet, and a lower cabinet with pass-through to rear exterior storage. Zoned lighting with independent switches, dual-pane opening windows, a roof hatch with vent/egress, a washer/dryer cabinet with pull-out drawer, a Nomadic Cooling 48V A/C (12,480 BTU), and two thermostat-controlled toe-kick heaters make life off-grid feel effortless.
