Meet The Tribe El Cap

The Tribe Trailers El Cap is a compact, fully-equipped truck camper that turns your bed into a legit “home on wheels”—with a full-size sleeping setup, 100Ah portable lithium battery, 100W roof solar, diesel heater, kitchen, and dinette, all in a lightweight ~1,600 lb shell (camper size 127" × 83" × 81"). It’s designed so you can camp comfortably, then still wheel your truck like normal when you drop the legs and pull away. Sleeps up to 5 with the interior bed + dinette conversion and the included clamshell rooftop tent.

Exterior

Built for versatility and quick setup: a 270° Batwing awning wraps the camper (with RTT ladder hatch) for huge shaded space, while the aluminum clamshell rooftop tent adds a protected second sleeping zone. Construction uses a lightweight polyurethane core with fiberglass skins for strength and a high R-value, and HappiJac loading jacks/quick-release legs make install/remove simple. Exterior MOLLE panels, mounting points, a 7-pin charge line, pigtail for running lights, outdoor LP line to the rear slide, and the 100W solar panel round out an adventure-ready shell.

Interior

Inside, flip-up bed extensions increase the master bed’s N-S length, the dinette converts to a spare bed, and the cabin uses German-imported wood boards, dual-pane windows, vinyl flooring, interior MOLLE and a magnetic kitchen wall for modular organization. The galley brings a 10,000 BTU dual-burner stove, stainless sink, dual 5 lb propane holders, and pre-plumbed propane (indoor/outdoor), fed by two 5.5-gal gravity water tanks. Power is handled by the 100Ah portable battery, 3000W inverter, 100W solar + controller, plus a 12V diesel heater for cold nights.
